So tonight was the Glow In The Dark Tour in Detroit and we were definitely in attendance....but first I gotta thank DJ for giving Indra the tickets for her graduation, the seats were amazing (third row off the floor in the first section next to the stage) and we both had a great time! It felt like one of our meet & greet events because everywhere we turned we saw someone we knew --- way way way too many people to list but I have to shout out Mick Boogie & Rana, the Burn Rubber crew, and Travis & Emily for giving us directions there through the back way to avoid the traffic!
I got a TON of pictures and Ill break it up into sections, you can click on the pictures to make them big and download them. Heres the pictures we got with people we know:
Saw Aaron from Unviversal in the parking lot...looking crispy in the new Rocksmith!

Indra & Me @ our seats

Cliff, Ro, & Rick from Burn Rubber (whattup!) with me & Indra, two best stores in Michigan together haha...turns out they had seats in same section as us!

Anyways so the show was all it was cracked up to be, and it actually started pretty much on time -- I know a ton of people missed Lupes's set and even NERDs cause of traffic getting in! Lupe's set was pretty short, he was off the stage by like 7:40, and Bishop G was on with him for the whole time I saw (I was a bit late). I was kind of surprised Matthew Santos didnt come out for Superstar...he will be coming out to Motivation though again this June haha, but more on that tomorrow! Lupe did mainly songs off his new album including Little Weapon (which I missed! It was on when we were just getting in), Go Go Gadget Flow, Paris Tokyo, and Streets On Fire. I would say less than half the stands were full when he was on though, and alot of people only knew Superstar but that it what it is...their loss!
Heres the pics I got from Lupes set (Bishop G is in the backwards hat and I think the Dj was wearing an old Mishka shirt haha):

NERD was up next and killed it, real talk! I wasnt the biggest fan of them but they definitely made me one, their whole set was real real high energy. They were my second favorite set next to Kanye. Plus they brought fans on stage and Chris Brown even came out and crump danced to Rockstar I believe. Also nice seeing Deuce & Brian of Wrighttrax and Big Sean on stage with them and Chris Brown...check the pics below!
ENLARGE the pictures, alot of them are really clear...

Chris Brown in white on left, also look for Big Sean & Duece & Brian from Wrigttrax on stage!

Chris Brown crumping...

Rihanna was third up and had a nice set, I knew all the songs because Indra loves her, but for me it wasnt as high energy as the other sets. The dress she had on at first was crazy though and I was feeling how she did a few songs from other artists including M.I.A. - Paper Planes, dope track!
Heres the Rihanna pics I got:
This first one of is her huge first dress, kinda blurry though!

Kanye of course headlined and was the last set, and he killed it! He had a crazy backdrop and stage and all the music for the most part made sense with the storyline, which was him being trapped in space. He was working hard too, barely took any breaks during the 1.5 hour set and he was sweating like crazy haha. You gotta do that to get to the top! He played mainly his singles as well as songs from his latest album. My favorite joint he did was Diamonds, and Good Life was really high energy as well. He was also wearing his unreleased "Air Yeezys" and at the end I think he was wearing an all new cream & white colorway...those shoes are gonna fly off the shelves, Nike did it again! Two disappointments were Ye could have interacted more with the crowd and no Lupe on Touch The Sky...I heard Lupe had to jet to Chicago right after his set! Overall the show definitely lived up to the hype and was one of the best concerts Ive ever been to.
Here's the Kanye Pictures (Again ENLARGE them to really see the details!):

Crowd was really into it...

Wardrobe change at the end, wish I had a better pic of the shoes haha
