The fellows over at Rogue Status (whattup Jasper!) just did a photoshoot over at Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory. You might remember Lenny Dykstra from his baseball days as a star outfielder with the Mets/Phillies in the 90s...I remember having some of his baseball cards when I was growing up. ESPN just did an article on what he's up to now-a-days and it appears he is broke and is a scumbag business man who tries to impress clients with his "celebrity" and fake wealth. Its a real interesting read to see how many people he has f*cked over, even his family. It is perhaps also the longest article Ive read from ESPN haha. Anyways if you are into business, its a good read and you can learn a few things on how to avoid shady businessmen...

Big ups to our friends Tapemasters Inc. for showing us some love on the covers of their newly released mixtapes! They just released the Young Jeezy - Notorious Young & the Fabolous - Reloaded (Loso's Way Part 2) mixtapes and they both contain the newest tracks, freestyles, and exclusives from both artists. The Hundreds Summer Footwear Preview!

We are expecting in the Summer footwear from The Hundreds late this week or early next week here at Motivation and here is a preview to hold you over until then! We will be getting in all of the colors of Johnson Mids & we will be introducing the Johnson Lows for the first time, which we are getting in all colors of as well. You can see below that the shoes were given the canvas treatment for the hotter summer months ahead. Also, the use of color on these is great and you can coordinate them with a lot of different clothes -- plus, like the previous models, the price is right. As mentioned last week, we are proud to be one of the 5 stores worldwide receiving the "Re-Jet" aka re-up of Dope Couture's Jetsetters capsule collection! Dope Couture Jetsetters New Colorways -- Arriving This Week!

Due to a complete sell-out of the original colorways, our friends at Dope Couture decided to bring back the top 3 Jetsetters t-shirts one more time in new colorways! Astro, George, and everyone's favorite Elroy are all back on silver shirts this time with plum, teal, and infrared accents, respectively. Once again, these shirts are limited to 75 of each character produced and this time they will be available at only FIVE stores worldwide, including us at Motivation. This will be the last time these shirts are produced.

Look for them to arrive to us around the middle of this upcoming week; the last ones sold out in 2 days, and we expect these to sell out quickly as well, so please don't sleep! We recently just got in the last hat from our University of Michigan pack of custom team New Era hats. This one is the New York Mets Mr. Met hat done with a varsity yellow crown and navy brim. The under brim is also kelly green which completes the old school look of the hat! Its been moving very well in-store in the few days that we have had it available and we are already almost out of some of the other custom hats in the pack after only one and a half weeks, so dont sleep on it! Beneeth Photo Shoot Promo Pictures

Beneeth is a clothing line by one of our customers Nikeisha Nelson that is going to be featured in the Runway to the Islands fashion show we are having at the store this Friday. The collection is entitled "Deep Roots, Long Extensions" and depicts the spread of the African Diaspora while empowering the wearer through confidence & pride. She recently went home to NYC and had a photoshoot for the line. Here are some of the photos of a small portion of the line -- feel free to post some feedback on what you think of the clothing!

Just in time for the start of the MLB baseball season, we got in a new shipment of New Eras from their Import program, which is just for boutiques like us at Motivation. The 4Cs design is one of my favorites (the aqua/black ones) because it matches up exactly with the Tiffany SB Dunks and even has black croc skin on the brim! The white Illistic LA Dodgers one is also dope because it is made of a ballistic nylon material that doesnt get dirty...so you can now rock white hats again! Runway to the Islands Fashion Show / Rehersals!

We are hosting the Runway to the Islands Fashion Show next Friday, which is going to be a fashion show showing the collections of two of our long-time customers Miho Iwata and Nikeisha Nelson. Their lines are respectively called Miho & Beneeth, and they have both been working on them all year as this is both of their final years at U of M's Art School and these collections are their final projects! Both collections are women's lines and Miho is a dress collection while Beneeth is a clothing collection that has some some streetwear inspirations. Interestingly, Miho is also one of the designers of Lipstickilla, which we currently sell at the store!

The fashion show is going to be held in our store, which is a first for us. It is at 9PM this Friday April 10th (we will be closing the store early that day, at 730 - 8 ish), and the guestlist is strictly RSVP only, and unfortunately its already full haha. If you really want to come though, contact me and maybe I can pull some strings or at least get you a good spot outside in front of the window (people will be out there looking in, trust). Mishka Spring 2009 Part 2 Now In Stock!!

We are one of the first accounts to get in our Spring 2 shipment from Mishka! This second half of the season is really strong, and the t-shirts and hats that we just got in are all sure to move quickly. There are a lot of colorful and different Bear Mop based designed on the t-shirts and fitteds as well. Alife Spring Footwear Part 2 Preview

Here is a little taste of what you can expect from Alife's Spring Part 2 footwear drop. The first drop they did most of the sneakers in Purple, Orange, and Green (we picked up some of the purples). For the second drop they did them in royal blue, red, and yellow. Look for some of the red and royal blue ones arriving to us at Motivation including the blue Public Outrages and blue Everybody Mid Pros below!

I think I'm going to hit you guys with at least 1 inventory update each day this week, even after I did the same last week haha...name another boutique doing that?!? Anyways its been a minute since we had some new Crooks & Castles in at the store and we finally got in some of our Crooks Spring shipment this weekend. Here is the New Era hats that we got in from the shipment, and Ill post up the rest of the shipment tomorrow once we get the pictures edited (its ALOT of stuff!) or you can just stop by the store to check it all out. Please note sizing on these hats is limited because we got our shipment late and they were out of a lot of sizes, but we will have more Crooks hats coming within the next few weeks!
