10.Deep's Sticker Attack t-shirts are basically a big slap in the face to established brands. This one defacing the North Face logo was especially dear to myself and all of us at Motivation considering the brand's popularity among all of the trend-hopping sheep on U of Michigan's campus.2. Although this technically released in December 2008, this is the t-shirt that started it all for Play Cloths. Everyone loves their Jack logo t-shirts, and its hard to believe the brand has only been around for 1 year!1. Dope Couture - Elroy Jetsetters Collection T-Shirt
The Dope Couture Jetsetters capsule was one of the most uniquely themed collections to come out this year; they flipped the Jetsons into the Jetsetters, complete with high-end accessories and streetwear fashion. Cardigans were that new-new in '08 and became mainstream in '09. This was the best one I saw all year the coloring and chenille 'Jack' patch put it over the top!2. 10.Deep - Paddington Plus Hoody
The updated version of the Paddington Hoody that released late in '08 caused just as much a stir this year as it did last. Classic styling meets streetwear.1. Orisue - Landers Military Peacoat
The streetwear world really jumped on Peacoats in 09, and this one from Orisue that is fused with a military jacket was the best design we saw all year. An instant sell-out everywhere.PS Notice all of these cut & sew items had a gray colorway...black and gray ruled 2009.

3. Leaders - L-Wing New Era Fitted Hat
Leaders in Chicago has been sitting atop the fitted game for a minute with their logo hats and this new Polo-inspired design that I beleive debuted in early 09 is clean and classic. The colorway on the particular one above kills it. Good luck on getting your hands on one of these though, they always sell out.2. Motivation - Detroit Redwings New Era Custom Fitted Hat (U of M Pack)
I might be a bit biased with this post, but we still have at least 1 or 2 people a week come into the store asking us if we have this hat in stock. Not to mention the emails. The Redwings logo is one of the best logos in the NHL and the Michigan colorway represents us, and the combination was near perfect.1. Burn Rubber - Chef Head New Era Fitted Hat
Im not sure if the Chef Head design released this year or not, but I gotta give respect where respect is due and 2009 was definitely it's year. You can't go anywhere in eastern Michigan without seeing one of these hats from the Detroit boutique, and the design of it is perfect. 3. Beanies
Beanies ruled some of 08, and definitely still reigned supreme throughout 2009. Almost every brand put them out, including this one from Play Cloths, and most of the ones we brought in we couldn't keep on the shelves.2. Crooks & Castles - Camera Case
Every one of your favorite rappers was wearing the Louis Vuitton coin pouches, and Crooks & Castles was the first streetwear company to bring this look to the masses. The case was waterproof and fit most cell phones to boot!1. Meister Watches

3. Undftd x Converse - Poorman's Weapon
These military-inspired sneakers do everything right and really exemplify the trends in footwear for 2009. Simplistic, black with a touch of color, and great detailing and quality.2. Nike - Dj Clark Kent "Un-Gucci" Dunk Highs.
After all the love that the Gucci colorway got this year and last, it was great to finally see this colorway on a Nike dunk. The Gum bottoms and ostrich leather (not denim) really set these off from their counterpart, the Gucci SB dunks, in my opinion.1. Nike - Air Yeezy Black/Pink
Did you really think the top spot would be anything else?!? This shoe was definitely the biggest of the year and this colorway was by far the best.
