Stussy has teamed up with Stones Throw records to release the J. Dilla collab/tribute tee, you have probably seen the massive press on it all over the blogs! Well we finally got these in stock about a week ago at our retail location and they are almost all sold out already...we have sizes S,M, and 2XL left though in both colors. Dont sleep if youre size is still left though!

Motivation Spring Line Preview!
Our Motivation Spring line releases today in-store, consisting of 18 different t-shirts and crewnecks...this is our very first store line and it has been something we have been wanting to do for a while now! Its been at least 3-4 months in the making and we have had a lot of fun and put a lot of work in from the designing stage to getting the actual product in. Here's a preview of what you can expect -- stop by the store to check it all out, and it will all be available online within a few days!
Wale, The Clipse & Big Sean Concert TODAY at U of M!
A lot of you don't seem to know about this concert somehow, maybe because it is mainly a concert for the University of Michigan students, but Wale, The Clipse & Big Sean will be performing TONIGHT at The Power Center at 7:30 PM in Ann Arbor! Tickets are available for those that aren't students though, and you can still buy them at TICKETMASTER or on campus at the Michigan Union Ticket Office. If you are a U of M student (with ID), tickets will cost you $10/$15 or if you are the general public, tickets will be $20/$25 which is still a great price to see these three quality acts. Plus Cliff Skighwalker will be hosting the event! Alot of us from Motivation will be in attendance and we all hope to see you there!

10.Deep x Adidas Consortium "Raw Dog" Stan Smith Mid
In case you haven't yet seen the upcoming 10.Deep x Adidas collab, take a look at the couple of pics below. The shoe comes in an all grey suede upper with 10.Deep branding in various locations. I obviously haven't seen these in person yet, as they're set to release on April 10th, but first impressions of the shoe are looking good. In case you were wondering where the "Raw Dog" name comes from, well, the laces are rawhide, and the insole has a mouth/teeth graphic design on it. As mentioned before, these drop in just over 2 weeks!

Dope Couture Spring 2010 Drop 1 Now in Stock!
Dope Couture's Spring 2010 drop is exactly what we've come to know and love from Dope. The Avenue tee features a re-worked logo from a pretty well known high fashion brand (Dior if you didnt know), as does the Mosaic tee, which is based off of the tile floors found in Hermes boutiques. The Bougie Crew is taking a page from previous Dope releases and putting a children's character front and center - Babar this time - and adding their twist to him. Rounding out this drop is a piece for the ladies, the Smoke Me I'm Dope art on an Orchid purple tee. All of these have been selling very well at our retail location so far -- and look for more Dope Spring arriving early this week!

The Hundreds Spring 2010 Delivery 2 Now in Stock!
The Hundreds' second drop of 2010 is in and it's high quality and consistent as usual! This drop features tees, button ups, denim, New Eras, and a snapback. The graphics on these tees are strong and cartoon-y as always, and the Westwood v-neck even features an embroidered logo on the left chest. The Gloria button up is a great choice for the Spring and easily matches up with either the Wall slim fit or Sycamore standard fit denim! Rounding out this drop are the hats, and the tonal Adam Bomb New Era in two colorways - black and red - have been selling very strong so far. Check it all out below and in-store:

Kidz In The Hall ft. Chip Tha Ripper & Donnis - Fresh Academy (Video)
Check this new video out from Kidz In The Hall featuring Chip Tha Ripper & Donnis for the song "Fresh Academy" which is one of my favorite cuts off the Kidz' album Land of Make Believe! It was shot in Cleveland about 2 weeks ago by Davy Greenberg. You'll notice Naledge wearing the red Dope Couture snapback and I think the side of our Motivation fitted gets a cameo on the bed hahaha...check it out below!

Fanmail 3/24: Marcus from Michigan
Today's Fanmail comes from Marcus, who is from Flint, MI and sent in pics of him wearing our Motivation 'Ornate M' New Era hat. He is actually wearing it while hosting the 18th Annual Alpha Apollo Show at Eastern Michigan University and repped us in front of 1,300 people -- thank you sir!

"Skunk" Nike SB Dunk April 2010 QS
This April's Nike SB releases also feature the Quickstrike Dunk Highs pictured below, given the nickname "Skunk." If at first it's not too apparent as to why this is the "Skunk" dunk, a closer look will reveal that the entire shoe is covered in material that imitates grass. The insole also features skunk artwork, leaving no question as to what this dunk's inspiration is. In addition, the "Skunk" dunk was designed by artist Todd Bratrud, who is also well known for the Send Helps and Brain Wrecks. Keep an eye out for these coming out soon!

April 2010 Nike SB Preview...
Here's a preview of one Dunk Low and two Blazers that are a part of the upcoming April 2010 Nike SB drop. They are all dope to me especially the black/graphite Blazer, and they will all match well with pretty much everything! Look for these at your local SB dealer (that would be Launch for all of you from Ann Arbor!) soon...
Greg from Orisue Stops by Motivation...
We must be getting popular or something cause we've had more visits from top brands at our retail location in the past 3 weeks than we did our first 2 years open! Greg, who is the new Midwest sales rep for Orisue, stopped by last week to show us the upcoming Fall 2010 collection. All I can say is get ready for a MASSIVE collection from the guys at Orisue this coming Fall! They have been doing well and are really in expansion mode over there -- theres like 20+ styles of denim alone dropping this Fall (whereas they dropped like 6 to 8 styles this past Fall). I think everyone will be happy with the price points of the upcoming seasons as well. Thanks Greg for coming through and I'll make it down to Chicago one day!
Nike Zoom Toki Summer 2010
For a slightly more dressed up look, the Nike Zoom Toki delivers...and this Spring/Summer, we'll be seeing it in Grey and White colorways. Both of these appear to be constructed entirely of canvas with a tonal leather swoosh. These should be out now...but if they're not at your local shop yet, look for them to hit shelves very soon!
Orisue Spring 2010 Delivery 2 Now in Stock!
Orisue's second drop of Spring 2010 just hit the shelves here at Motivation! This drop features alot of denim as well as the usual suspects you would expect from Orisue. In true Orisue fashion, the graphic tees are simple yet clever, with each one featuring a logo flip. The Lansing v-neck is also back in Purple this time around, and if past seasons are to judge, this style will sell out very quickly. The three button ups are all great choices if you're looking to dress up, and if you want to throw on another layer, pick up the Bellvue knit cardigan to throw over any of the three. Rounding out the drop is the Chase zip fleece which is a dope cut & sew piece and 4 new styles of jeans! There are more washes than just raw this time around and also more fits that what we are used to seeing - slim, classic, and relaxed.
